TutorialMemorize-It Word By Word allows you to easily memorize textual information. This is a guide to help you get started. In order to use this tutorial you will first need to download and install the latest version of Memorize-It Word By Word. If you are unsure of how to download or install, please consult a guide to using Windows or post a message on our website. Initial ScreenWhen you first run Memorize-It Word By Word, you are presented with the gettysburg address. This is one of the most commonly memorized things we could find. You can change this easily enough, but for the tutorial we use it as a starting point. You are first presented with the title of the text you are attempting to memorize, and below that the text is covered in black. Press the right arrow key or buttonYou begin by trying to guess
what the line of text says. If you need a hint as to the line, you
can press the right arrow button Press the down arrow key or buttonIn this case you would be
trying to guess the first line. "Four score and seven years ago".
Once you have guessed the line, or the entire line
is exposed, press the down arrow key or button Press the down arrow key or button againWhen you press the down arrow key again, then text will move up, the
red cursor Repeat the process until you have seen the entire text and repeat until you can guess every line without giving yourself a hint (without the right arrow key). Press the up arrow to start overAt any time, you can press the up arrow key or Show all the text.You can press the stop button To edit or change the textPress the edit button To change the titleTo change the tile above the text you are quizzing, press the title
edit button New, Save and OpenYou can create a new blank document at any time by selecting the File/New menu item. You would then edit the text and title as outlined above. You can save the document to a file with the File/Save menu item. You can open the document with the File/Open menu item. All documents should be saved with the .wbw file extension so the program will recognize them properly. |
